We’ve been dining with @thebertossigroup.hfx since our very first anniversary. We celebrated at Il Mercato back when it lived on Spring Garden, and when it blossomed into La Fresca, we continued to celebrate but on Valentine’s Day instead. One year, they asked if we’d like a photo. What felt like a simple little polaroid in the moment quietly became one of our favorite traditions. Over the years, that space collected so many memories for us. So when La Fresca closed and Via Condotti opened its doors, we were so happy for their new beginning but unsure if our tiny tradition would survive the move. A few weeks ago, they reached out and invited us to dine at Via Condotti so we could continue our tradition. The fact that they remembered something so small yet so sacred to us meant more than we can put into words 🥹♥️ Last night, we took our 12th photo. A new space, the same love, and another polaroid added to the collection. The rooms may change, but the tradition, and the two of us, remain. (Oh, and the delicious food — that hasn’t changed either 🥰)
