@carolerohan the problem here is that this mindset invalidates people’s very real struggles. You don’t see a person in a wheelchair and say “you’re not disabled, look how strong your arms are”. Yes, people, all people have strengths and positive qualities but to deny their struggles and reframe someone else’s life experience is ableist.
